The last try turned out ok so I tried another set for a 50th 44 mag. Flat Top. The last coat of Tru Oil just finished drying so they still need to be polished out but here is the latest effort. I drilled the medallions a little closer to the edges to try to look like the old Ruger Ivory grips. I will probably change out the hardware to brass also. I think the Ruger Ivory had brass hardware. They look great. I have tried to find some holly to make some grips but I have not been able to as of yet.

Those look really nice!!!!! Sorry but "Holly Wood" instantly reminded me of Slim Pickens' character in 1941.

Thanks everyone,I have enjoyed doing these projects but if I had to make a living at it I'd go broke I'm a better Plumber then a grip maker.
Cary, I'd like to thank you for the help you have given us forum members that want to try our hand at making our own grips. Your posts have been very helpfull to me and I'm sure others.
Mike
