Just took delivery of my Teknik Scorpion VZ 61: I first lusted after the truculent little automatic when a mere stripling, ogling the squat and ugly little buzzgun in Ian Hoggs "Weapons of the World". Its an ungainly forward magazined remnant of the cold war, a controllable full auto platform for the anemic 32 ACP that weighs too much for a sane blowback operated semi auto carry pistol... and it is glorious. I was excited when I saw the little pistols would be imported, sans folding wrist stock and full auto capability, of course. I was shocked when I saw the price tag, though, and had a feeling the scorpion would not be a staple for long as a result. I was right, as its since been discontinued. CDNN has dropped the price on them a bit, but they still have a dealer cost that would equal 2 good com bloc service sidearms. Headed to the range this afternoon. Had to have it... fulfilling a promise I made to that teenaged me of long ago. I'm grinning like a kid on Christmas morning. Somedays don't arrive often, but they do arrive.
