Lets see your Gallaghers. I have a Bisley at his shop now. Can't hardly wait as this will be my first custom. I'm getting a .44 mag Bisley with a long cylinder and an octagonal barrel. As I have never handled any of his work, what should I expect.

I have three down there now and a couple he has already done for me. I think he does great work and is a whale of a nice guy to deal with as well. 327 Bisley single six OM 357 flat top conversion to brass bisley octagon barrelled 44 Special. This is an old model 41 I bought in tough shape, cleaned it up and sent it to John for blueing , cutting the barrel and the action job. Once it was done. This another case of buying a project that is I cleaned up and sent to John and he is making it into a single six 41 Special. Cleaned up and headed to Jasper for the conversion. This is an old model 357 he converted to 41 Mag, installed steel parts on, locking basepin, BP chamfer, Bowen sights and Clements hammer. Yes sir, I like his work!

I really like that .357 to .41 Mag. conversion, Robb. Very classy and practical.

Thanks Ken, like Mr. Bowen says it is about the smallest packaged bigbore magnum SA you can get. This one is getting a new set of shoes in a few days and I'll repost some pictures of it then.

That's quite a before and after on the 41 OM clean-up. I never get tired of seeing those. -Lee www.singleactions.com

FWIW I don't have any NM customs in my "set" that have the trigger that my Gallagher NMs have..

Lee, Robb did the cleanup on those guns himself. I thought they looked great, especially when you look at the before! Robb seems to be handy with a file As far as John's work, I doubt very seriously that you will be disappointed. His action work is very smooth and all the guns I've had from him have been great shooting guns.

I'd post pics but I can't see photo bucket from here. I'm holding an octagon barreled 44 and 500L and a 445 on a Maximum that John built. Got a 1.4 inch S&W barreled 41 and a 7.5 octagon 475 in work... Three or 4 stacks of parts ready to go to Jasper any day...

Very nice .500 Axe. I hope to add one of those to my modest collection in the future. How does it compare to your Nimrod in fit and finish as well as accuracy?

John's fit and finish don't play second fiddle to anyone. Only time will tell about the shooting... Sent the Nimrod off for grips without shooting it... 2 Dawgs sent me a .510 size die. Spring will be here soon.. Ready to meet me at the range?

I'd love to. Hopefully by spring I will have a very nice long cylinder Gallagher to play with. What kind of grips are you having put on you nimrod?

kings6... that old model 357 converted to 41 is a very handy looking set up. How does it shoot? I really like the .327 single six as well... but tell me about the 41 spl.
