I have a friend who owns a Remington rolling block in .43 Spanish. He's sourced dies, brass, and moulds and has been through numerous iterations and has yet to find loads that offer any sort of accuracy. He's decided to have it converted to .45-70 and has asked if I could help find someone to do the conversion. His idea of "conversion" includes rebarrelling.
He had a similar gun converted to the same caliber a few years ago and has been very happy with it. Unfortunately, the gentleman who did the work for him has passed away.
Any recommendations?
Thanks,

I'm using Jack Huntington for a few Encore Projects.
I used Dennis Olson to reprofile an Encore Barrel and was very pleased with turnaround time, cost and communication. Someone on this forum pointed me to him.

The Old Timer I learned from is still doing work. His name is Robert Mordini. To way he lives in the sticks is the understatement of the century. He doesn't have a phone. If you want his mailing address, let me know. It will be nothing short of perfect when he is done, and his prices are reasonable too.

Dave at Lone Star specializes in them. Steve Baldwin in Jones Oklahoma -Mechanical Accuracy, best known for his sights, has done several for us.
