Tiny little beast. Lots of knobs and buttons like a 1911. IMHO an unnecessary complication in a DOA gun. Reminded me of the little SIG 380. Without the SIG aura, the complexity, and a price almost 2X the LC9, will kill it... If the Ruger had not appeared at the same time it might have had a chance.

Beautiful little gun in real life too. Speaking as a long time Kimber nut I can say that it feels like you'd expect a Kimber to feel. I'm sure there will be buyers but the mass market will grab the LC9 and run.

Axehandle; . Long question, stay with me. . I talked a friend into a Para 1911 single stack Stainless. . The Kimber was out of his $ range. . Another guy is saying he should have gone Kimber. Never owned a Kimber or any 1911.
.. My buddy is happy, no problems. Wanted a simple CCW. . The Kimbers ARE nice. I am looking at a Kimber or Sig. . I've seen some Kimber vs Para threads on other forums. I saw a picture of a 78 lb house cat too................. . Bottom line. What are your thoughts. I have had simple Springfeild 1911s. REAL basic guns. . What are your thoughts on the different Sig 380s if you don't mind. . Is the Kimber 9mm just too "busy" ? I'm a HP guy so..............well you know how THEY are...... . Thanks

Too much personal preference involved here. I've owned some nice Paras. My preference for the Springfield as a target gun base comes from 30 years ago. Kimber? They speak for themsleves. I won't pass on a good deal on any of the three.
The old SIG 380 is a modern classic. I've never owned one but understand that they are large and heavy for a 380. IMHO they are a bit large to be a 380. This new SIG 380 is a fine little gun. To many buttons and switches for my tastes. Once again it comes down to the individual. For this type gun I like the flat slick DAO option I see in the Ruger LCP and LC9. Draw the gun and pull the trigger.
