This was a typical 2nd Gen .38 special with a custom front sight and S&W rear when I got it. I like it a lot now with a NF bbl and rechambered to .45 ACP. Can you identify the grip material?   |

Did Roy Fishpaw do the musk ox panels? The reason I ask is about 6 months ago he did a set for me for a custom Vaquero with Clements S&W style rear sights and an octagon barrel that Ben Forkin is building. Ben send the gun to Roy and he said it was the first set he had done out of musk ox but when he was done he sent the gun back to Ben and I haven't gotten it back yet. It was out for Turnbull to do his CCH last I talked to Ben so here I've paid for and had a set of musk ox grips installed but I haven't even seen them yet!
At least now I get some sort of picture of what they will look like. In fact, now that I think of it, these two guns will be remarkable similar. Yours is the Colt version in 45 acp and mine is the Vaquero with an octagon barrel and a long cylinder in 45 Colt. It will be interesting to see pictures of these two guns at the same time.

Wow kings6, you have mighty refined taste in sixguns. A local FL boy made mine, he just does it as a sideline.
