Just spent 3 days in the hospital (after i almost ran out of blood), and was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis. Anybody else here living with this disease?

Hang in there.
There is a lot of info floating around about ulcerative collitis/IBS/celiac sprue. The important thing is to separate the wheat from the chaff.
Don't know your specifics, but I would recommend that you seek medical and nutritional advice from a variety of specialists and then make a decision(s) that suits your lifestyle. You are the boss!
There are a variety of options, including going gluten free, to nutritional supplements, and the list goes on.
Good luck with your decision making.
Regards, -- Brian

Have a shooting buddy that has been living with UC for about 25 years and as long as he stays away from certain foods he's good to go. White bread or anything made from wheat flower are what really gets him. Take care my freind and do well Bill

Patdaddy, In 1983, when I was 40, I had my first bout with this little bugaboo. I had to have 5 pints of blood in all. It turned out my only hope was being cut on. I have enjoyed life for going on 28 years since then and wouldn't have things any other way. Contact me off line if I can be of any help. I have had experiences. Rolling Stone ujhale at gmail dot com
