...he came through the operation very well, everything is looking just as it should to this point. The docs were extra-careful to plant the wires in him FIRMLY so they wouldn't pull loose this time; Lori says the surgeon told her that he tried to pull the wires out in the Operating Room, and they are IN there. They planted the control unit in his lower back this time instead of in his rear end, and Al showed them how far down they could go before the controller would interfere with his gun belt. The controller is a new, improved smaller unit with a nine-year battery life, so it should serve him even better.
Anyway, the SWEDE is home, resting comfortably thanks to the wonders of modern chemistry. He's eating enough pain pills to satisfy Detroit, and taking strong antibiotics to counter the possibility of infection. He goes back on Wednesday to have everything checked out, but it all looks great to this point.
Lori wanted me to let everybody know that they appreciate the prayers, and wish everybody a great Christmas.

Sounds like a BIG step on the right direction. I hope he makes his goal of making the Holiday next summer...
