Asked my local FFL to order me some naked TC Encore frames... MidSouth only had one in stock. Took less than three weeks for them to get us two more... No need buying complete Encores with barrels we don't want.

For me, one of the huge bonuses of the Encore/Contender platform is that you don't "need" more frames... I have 8 rifles with identical stocks and triggers... Let's call me "outside looking in" on this one.

While my holding quite a few Encore frames isn't related I Just never thoroughly embraced the TC interchangeability thing. Over 30 years ago I took note of the fact that TCs built for accuracy had fitted hinge pins.. Own a pair of old school Vern Juenke TCs that have tapered hinge pins that totally eliminates the interchange factor. The intent for this newest frame "set" is to have all 4 of my GNR 405 based wildcats set up to shoot without having to swap stuff. May even go to fitted OS hinge pins at some point in the future.
FWIW these newest frames will not come to my house until they travel to AZ.... Mr Reeder does one fine action job on the Encore frame...

Who has the best price on a G2 or Encore frame? Looks like used Contender frames are going for 250 and up.

We buy new TC frames from Mid South. Price depends on which one you buy.

Frames are done and headed home... Once again you TC fans who haven't held one of Reeder's action jobs are missing it! Currently sitting on one more Encore frame than custom barrel.. Looks like it is going to naturally work out since Reeder put his 257 GNR on the sale list today! That .308 bore barrel will have to wait!

I read the subject title and figured it was one of Gary Reeder's engravings. Boy was I disappointed.
