Grand Daughter's first deer with a sningle action.

Hay Dick. Dakota used a single action Thompson Encore in .223 to get her first deer.

Spot and stalk. We were working three doe on the first day of the youth season. The ladies we were stalking got on to us and drifted into the woods. Dakota spotted another deer around a finger of woods that ran into the pasture we were hunting.

We stalked until we ran out of cover and Dakota had to take a long shot. She backed up against a tree and took an off hand shot at 150 lasered yards.
Trigger pulled and dead right there.
All this shooting comes from time we spent with Dick even if Dakota wasn't there.



As I was cleaning Dakota's deer a friend came by with his daughter and her deer.

Awesome pictures. My youngest son killed his first deer this past weekend. Made a great shot with the ol 30/30 . Those two youngins look mighty happy.
