Welcome to the forum.
Nice revolver too. I'm not a fan of the New Models (lots of folks are) but that's a well thought out and well executed custom SA. Beautiful wood in the stocks.

Dave, Thanks for the reply. Understand the pros/cons of NM's vs OM's. I'm a fan of the OM's too. A favorite I have is a 3 screw .44 Special conversion by Gary Reeder. This SBH is destined for hunting, therefore wanted a .44 Magnum and needed a NM for that. Regards!

The bead blast and grips look good together. I like it!

Those personal touches that make up a "Semi-custom" can really make a revolver stand out....

Welcome to this forum.
The other changes balance those grips, they are stunning.
The fine photo is a nice touch, the detail shows.
Thanks.

This SBH is destined for hunting, therefore wanted a .44 Magnum and needed a NM for that. Oh, I dunno about that! Here's two .44's that are in Factory Original configuration and are indeed .44 Magnum calibre. This one is a sorta early Super Blackhawk, however it has been refinished by Sturm, Ruger & Co. Now, here's one that's not an original design..... I changed a few items...... Carl

Also had to add a taller front sight that Ruger supplied free of charge since it shot low with the rear sight bottomed out. I was very pleased with how it turned out. Thanks for looking! Nice! You point out another benefit of SS Blackhawks - Replaceable front sight blades. Why don't they install all front sight blades with a pin? Welcome, Mark
