Is anyone shooting and loading for these? Having recently handled one I think I like the smaller frame.
I was thinking one of these(satin finish) with David Clements S&W fixed rear sight-front sight combo shooting a 270 grain WFN at about 900-1000 FPS would be approaching(for me) the Perfect Packing Pistol.
Does this sound reasonable? I have no experience loading for the older Colt strength SAA.

They really are sized right for 44 special and below. With the Bisley there just is no downside.IMHO And that sight on a Vaquero is pure style. Can' help on your question, but I,m heading to a gun shop right now.

I meant to mention I was looking at a 45 Colt. Those I found at the big stores but no used Rugers and the Mid frames they had to order.
