Hi all. I finally decided that it was about time that I treat myself and get some nice grips for my 50th Flat Top. I'd wanted a Flat Top since I was a kid and read John Wooters deer hunting collumns in Hunting Magazine - he had one that he mentioned from time to time. When the 50th Flat Tops came along I saved until I could get one. I had heard that the factory grips were cheese graters but they never bothered me until I began shooting more magnums than .38s in it. Boy, they sure did chew up my hands after a while. So I emailed Mr. Grashorn about getting a set of his stags made up for me. I told him that I wanted no bark or bone grips. He had these ready to go and I had them in under a week. Amazing. He said they were a little more full than the factory grips but that I'd probably like that. He was indeed correct on that. They feel great and I shoot it better than ever now. At any rate - enjoy...

I have a pair from Grasshorn just like those. Alan Harton will be fitting them to my 500 Linebaugh in a week or two.

Very nice looking grips WingMaster. I need to replace the factory grips on my 50th Flat Top Blackhawk 44 Magnum.

Thanks all. Patrick really hit it out of the park when he made these. They are exactly what I had hoped for. The stag is nice and smooth and doesn't chew up my hands like the factory originals did.
I actually do shoot it a little better now - whether it is real or imagined, who knows.
I will be taking this revolver out this weekend for the MN deer hunting opener in its new Simply Rugged Sourdough Pancake and Chesty Puller rig. I don't bring my rifle out until my son shoots his deer and just bring my revolver out in case. I'll let you know if I get to use it this weekend.

The grips are the usual Grashorn, GORGEOUS, I like your backdrop. A natural setting for your Blackhawk.
