That's what I call DA perfection. Really nice piece Boge. Have you shot it much yet? -Lee www.singleactions.com

Not a lot, because it's been gone most of the time since I bought it. I sent it to Alan Harton for a taller front sight (it was WAY too low), and to have the checkering on the hammer chased (it was worn to the point where it couldn't be safely cocked, the hammer would slip out from under the thumb), and also have a general checkup. Soon after I got it back from Alan I sent it off to Tedd. I probably shot a couple of boxes through it before I sent it off to Alan, and about 300 rounds since I got it back from Tedd. It shoots great, and right to the sights.

I like that Boge. Have you determined the year of production yet?

Cool. Any idea who shortened it?

Not a clue. It started life as a 6-1/2" nickel-plated gun.

Whoever shortened it does nice work. Can't recall ever seeing one of that vintage cut to 3 1/2", but I like it. -Lee www.singleactions.com

Cool gun. Are the grips a lot thinner at the bottom than the middle? The above picture makes it look so.

There is a pretty pronounced palm swell, but the macro lens does exaggerate it a bit.

Very nice...never handled a triple lock, but i love old S&W's, they're so fine. And you stole that piece.
