I have recently become VERY interested in the percussion wheel guns and especially like the Cimarron F.A. sixguns. Anyone else feeling the love for them?
Where are some good places to pick them up on line? I found them at Texas Jacks, but thats it so far.
THANKS!
Tom

I guess I will answer my own question as there seems to be some interest, but no information...
Here is what I have found.
Dixie Gun Works carries Pietta and Uberti/Cimarron guns.
Buffalo Arms Co carries most of the Uberti/Cimarron guns. They also have very good prices.
Let me know if you find any others...
THANKS!
Tom

I get most my replicas from Dixie Gun Works. Not because they're any better but because it's two hours away and I get to handle them before I commit.

I have 3 Uberti Cap and Ball revlolvers, 2 1860's and one 1851. All 3 of them had the hand spring break in less than 50 rounds. One broke just cocking the hammer before I ever fired it. Very easy fix and if I bought another would just replace the spring first thing.
Replace the nipples with Treso brand, and use Remington number 10 caps and I think you will be happy with them.
In my opinion, the Pietta Remington replicas are pretty good guns, but when it comes to Colt replicas the Ubertis seem to be much better than Pietta.
I think that an 1860 Colt is still the most beautiful handgun ever made.
