Word is only 22 of the 25 manufactured have been located. A collector's gun for sure.. I'll be more than happy with my 6 shot 480 and my 5 shot Bowen Custom 500L SRH. Doesn't bother me at all to shoot my "D" or "T" prefix FT 44 Specials but I don't have $1600 in them..

I had a chance to buy one from a Ruger dealer when they first came out (he had it in stock....asking price was $625 I think). Still kicking myself over than one. Then again, who knew they'd only produce 25 or so. -Lee www.singleactions.com

I know where ONE of 'em is. And no, it's not in my safe (although I used to have one, but sold it because Tennessee won't allow you to hunt with a barrel less than 4"). Some guy with a braided beard has one like it, and might sell it for a crazy price like that.
