Any talk of another source for Ruger brass backstraps? I'd be interested in any configuration, but especially the Super Blackhawk.

No new makers... Lots of old stuff pops up on a regular basis Just watch the "classifieds' ( ) in the forums that allow such things... The Ruger Forum is a good place to go post a WTB...

Added Bowen rear sight and a set of parts box stags... Grips will do for photo but won't be permanent.... A little to thick for my little hands. Don't know if it will be Cary C for some nice wood or Sack Peterson for some elk stags... I do kind of like this look of stag, brass, and blue... Steel EJRH turned out wrong... NM version won't work... Have to hunt up an OM EJRH... As luck would have it that NM 4 5/8 45 Colt BH in the safe can use the steel EJRH... ;D

Steel EJRH turned out wrong... NM version won't work... IIRC, one can adapt....... but, I'm not positive until I get down into the Dungeon and inspect some old parts. Carl

You could always thin them from the backside and then work them into the frame or if needed work the frame down to match the grips. Seems a shame to throw them back into the parts box when they look so nice on the gun.

Replacement candidates headed east even as I type... Give them a few days to get here. We'll see what they look like...

Looking for something to rival the looks of the Sambar stag and Dall sheep horn worn by a couple of my dragoon style grip framed OM SBHs...

Kind of like the elephant ivories your buddy in Jasper is installing on the Hunter grip frame for me? ;)Hopefully it will be headed this way soon.
