I had just finished some walnut grips for this gun and was in the basement rubbing Danish oil into them when they slipped out of my hands and landed on the bare cement floor. Both lower front corners did not survive the incident. I needed to do something to lift my sprits quick and I dont drink. I had these oversized ivory panels that I bought from Nutmeg Sports laying around waiting for my 2" snub nose SAA to return from the Colt Custom Shop but I used them to lift my sprits instead and it worked. Now I have to look around for another set of ivory panels.

Very nice job on the grips. A true labor of love.

You've got big pelotes. I am just getting the nerve up to work a set in fine walnut but ivory, see yah... Look great.

Believe it or not the ivory was a joy to work with. My problem in the past at grip making has been removing to much stock at a time and ending up with something that looks like stock Ruger grips for match. This is the first time I worked with ivory and I cant wait to make another set.
