Ok so I wanted to see what a No5 base pin would look like in my BFR. So I removed the set screw and ........ nothing! The thing wont budge. Am I missing something?

It is glued on. I used a pair of end cutting nippers, stuck the blades in between the radius of the barrel and the radius of the ERH, and squeezed. The tension strength of the adhesive is less than the shear strength. This method was easier than knocking it off with a hammer and a brass punch. (I have two BFR's I tried it two ways). BTW my BFR's have frame/cylinder holes bigger than a Ruger. Also, there has to be a bigger relief in the pin head than a Ruger. I called KS and got exactly the diameter & barrel relief I needed, no extra charge. Old pic, the #5 pin is in the DM 454.

Is there a chance a Colt pin with it's larger OD might work?
