A week or so ago I dropped in to the local pawn shop that deals pretty well and does get some nice stuff. I picked up a near new early pinned and recessed M629 soon after I moved here for a very fair price. Looking in the case there layed a beautiful little Bearcat with some nice looking stags on it. The fit, polish and blueing on the thing reminded me of my OMSBH's. A week or so prior I was at Alan Harton's place with my youngest son Tony and, of course, Alan has to bring out another Bearcat 32 H&R conversion and hand it to Tony. A couple of months prior Alan did the same with a SS one. Tony thought it was the coolest little gun he had ever seen, "Dad, we really need one of these"... So, back to the pawn shop, I eyed the piece seeing a 32 in the future. They had it priced fair though I asked what the bottom line was. "Three twenty five out the door, no three hundred right now". Sold. A few days later Tony and I went to the range and he commenced to blow the 3" bullseye open at 20 yards with the gun shooting dead on to the sights. He advised, "Dad, I wouldn't touch this one". Sharp little guy he is. Looks like I have to hunt for another to convert.
