I got this little pistol in a trade a couple years back with a bunch of magazines that won't fit anything else. I WANT to love this pistol. The size is so right for carry. But my Kimber PRO CDP shoots circles around this thing.
For such a short barrel/slide it is 100% reliable but I have not found a load that shoots great out of it. What can I do? Is it just a matter of swapping in a match grade barrel or am I going to have to have a gunsmith fit everything?
This is a Custom Shop gun, so I would have thought it would shoot great out of the box. Not the case.
What can I do that won't cost an arm and a leg?

Back when I traded for my V10 I looked into an unported barrel for it. I think Bar Sto makes a drop in barrel for it that will have the best chances of curing your accracy issues.. What kind of accuracy you looking for? Mine shoots GI ball pretty good. Accuracy can be subjective.... Mine will place the bullet in the eye socket of choice at 7 yards...

Send it back to Springfield and tell them it doesn't shoot, it's under warranty (a d@#n good one if you ask me) and if it hasn't been modified they'll make it shoot. And it won't cost you a dime other than shipping to them.
