When I was a boy, I introduced friends to my Mom, by saying.."this is my Mom, she's weird" Some yrs later I've found out that many people have called me weird, darn ! It runs in the family I guess. So here goes...I clean my guns BEFORE I take them out. Yes, they get cleaned after being shot, rained on, handled,etc.. But I put a fresh wipe down of my favorite goo, right before they are at risk. I don't clean'em and bag'em and forget about them. Spent a whole day shooting clays in a downpour with a gathering of people from www.uplandjournal.com , in between rounds they all scrambled to clean shotguns, while I relaxed. Why ? My shotgun s were already at maximum protection, having been wiped over that morning, not a week ago, a month wgo, etc.. 'Ole weird steve b

How is gun cleaning for you ? Near a religious experience for me, therapy at least. I've help handle a pack of fox hounds during the "Blessing of the Hounds" ceremony in No.Va. A Bishop presiding no less. I've seen and heard of Blessing of the Fleets, for navies and marinas and commercial fleets. What we need is a blessing of the S.A.'s ! I used to carry a basket of Kielbasa, boiled egss, etc, to Church just before Easter to be blessed. So why not my favorite handguns ! Especially my carry wepaons that are counted on to protect me'n mine. steve b

My wife burns Sage and Sweetgrass to purify the house about once a month . She swings through my gun room when she's at it .
