That BFR 5" 44 mag[the rubber grip gotta go] is growing on me. Buds have them for $830.00 or so . I have found myself without a 44 mag right now and I'm looking hard at the BFR. I really would like a Freedom Arms but the BFR is less then half the price. Do the Ruger custom guys work on these? Grips, round butting action job and sights and such? Guys in the know are they good to go right out of the box?

BFR is pretty slick out the door... I own a few but... If I was looking for a 44 in the BFR price range I'd find a good deal on a Ruger 44 and send it to John Gallagher for a good going over. My Gallagher 5.5 inch octagon Bisley 44 was a good reality check for me.. I won't pass up a good deal on a BFR but if I have a choice make mine a Ruger...

I have 4 BFR's and I really love them they all shoot better than I can! Anyone who custom fits grip-panels to super Black Hawks will make up some panels for you just send them your gripframe because Ruger grips are different and if there not made to your frame they will not fit right.( they will be very loose) BFR has a custom shop and will hand fit grips to there gun I have a white polymer grip that they fitted and they did a great job, BFR also sells a black micarta grip.
