Have been out back, joyfully furthering the break in of my new Single-Six. I conclude that it should be everyones first S.A., was mine. This one seems as good as the other was. The first one has belonged to an old friend for yrs now and has a good home there. Its funny how when you part with a favored gun, you want it to go to someone that'll care for it, appreciate it. Kinda like if ya have to part with a pet. If I were better with words, I'd write a poem to the Ruger Single-Six. Someone oughta. steve b

All I know is that four Single Sixes and a Bearcat ain't enough! I need a matching 5 1/2" Old Model for my left hand.

I don't see the need for more than one, but it has lead to 2 Bh's and a SBH over the yrs.. An evil plan by Bill Ruger ! steve b

Ah, sharp eyes! Ruger made ONE 7-1/2" Single-Six. It was for Herb Glass, as requested and was s/n 16. I always thought Ruger dropped the ball by not making 7-1/2" rimfires so I had one made up from a 9-1/2" barrel. It wasn't until the advent of the Hunter series did Ruger finally produced a 9-1/2" .22 rimfire revolver.
