Need some suggestions or how to. I have run out of adjustment for bringing bullet impact down on the sights adjustments on my United Sporting Arms Seville .44 Magnum. Thought maybe it was just me with sight adjustments, so I brought it to silhouette match sat at PSC and let other folk shoot it and same thing it would shot high for them also. Before I break out files or send sights out to be machined figured I would ask the Experts.

Try shooting 180 and / or 200 gr. bullets first at the close distances, so as not to booger up a collectible. FWIW (?)

Hi Blue, welcome. Before you do anything else, try using wood grip panels. They could/might make a difference.

Don't fear the file! Since you're shooting it, you're not a collector. You haven't lived until you've filed down a rear adjustable sight blade, very liberating...

Yes I will be shooting this pistol. In silhouette matchs and hog hunting. Once I get the sights worked out, figure 40 rounds a match and 40 to 80 rounds a mounth pratice a month min. Is there an after market sight blade or different sights that can be installed?

I have heard many many times the weight and speed will change POA It may not be feasible in silhouette, a Hog can't tell how dead it is I would look at Ruger for your Sights or can you add to the Blade ? Tommyt

Blue If memory serves me correctly United Sporting Arms guns were fitted with a form of Elliason rear sight. You may wish to spend a little time locating replacement parts before you start changing the one you have. The Colt Forums may be a good place to start.

Filing the rear blade wouldn't be legal for IHMSA Silhouette anyway.

Blue
The rear sight was actually made by Iron Sight Gun works. I just spoke with Jim Rock and according to him the last guns were assembled by Sig Himmelman in California after their court settlement when the company went out of business. This used up all the spare parts.
