Sad to hear of the passing of Larry Barnett. I have always enjoyed going by there when I was in the area. I know several on here probably have ties or patronized them. I am hopeful that the path he took does not get deviated from too much.

Sir, If you mean LARRY, of Larry's Pistol & Pawn of Huntsville, Alabama, this is a sad day indeed.
I used to stop at Larry's on the way home from Redstone Arsenal at LEAST once a week, and that man was a drain on a poor GI's pocket. I have long (40+ years) considered that store as the Mecca of gun stores. I got many a great deal on many a great gun in what short time I was stationed at Redstone.
It was the best assignment I'd ever had and the locals made me feel like a local. Larry's was a central MONUMENT in my circulation withing that amazing community.
If THAT is the LARRY of which you speak, this is a sad day, indeed.

I was hesitant to post this because I thought Stan might. I have been trading there for 40 years. I haven't bought too many in the last few years because I kind of hit a saturation point. I knew Larry and considered him a friend. I have one of his personal guns that I have had for about 30 years. Of all things a Charter Arms Target Bulldog. He knew how to make a dollar. I have been friends with several of the guys that worked there. Prayers for the family.
