Waterboy gave me a 338 GNR because it was to heavy.. To heavy in the context that a heavy 15 inch barrel Encore is significantly heavier than a 14 inch barrel TC Contender ... While putting the rubber grip and forearm on my 378 GNR Encore I picked up my 375 JDJ G2 Contender... Wild weight difference and the Encore doesn't have the steel scope base on it yet... I'll have to get to some accurate scales in the weeks to come and share some numbers.. FWIW I'm betting that the weight and brake of the Encore 378 GNR will make it much more pleasant to shoot than the 375 JDJ G2 Contender... Good thing I've never been slack in eating my wheaties.... There are times when it is good be 5'10" and weight 220 pounds...
