Got those 338 GNR Numbers today! 180s 2710 fps 200s 2625 fps 210s 2600 fps 225s 2535 fps Got those JDJ numbers? That's 200fps or more over what I got with my 14".338JDJ#2 , sounds like a real screamer. I mainly shoot 200grs @ 2400 fps. it uses a 444marlin case necked to 338 then fire formed.

Axe; No way around it, you NEED an original Hollywood Gon Shop press.
TWELVE STATIONS!
Don't know about the new conpany, could be just fine.
An old benchrester/wildcatter since the 40s had one . WOW! Made his own bullets out of 22 shells, that press was the Real Deal.

Axe, Is this different from a "set"? You've now progressed to "stockpiles"? It is nice to see someone honestly excited about such a neat "stockpile" of projects.......

"set" ..."Stockpile"... My first impression is that a "set" would be having a 378, 338, 350, 338, 8mm. 310, 280, and 257 GNRs... The "Stockpile" would be the 5 or 6 OM 41 Blackhawks in the safe...

I sure wish my FA 2008 was a .338 GNR. It's my favorite due to the lighter recoil and flat shooting ability. Those .338's once going are hard to slow down. The .378 packs a harder hit but at the expense of much greater recoil and some loss in trajectory. In reality that is not a HUGE issue and I can just as easily use the .378. I just couldn't figure a way to get it done.
Bob offers a .338 Fed. that should equal JD's .338 JDJ. Thought hard about that one but I wanted a RIM. To do again I'd probably go with a .35 cal. and have GNR re-chamber to his .350 GNR (.405 Win. necked to .358") wich is the full equal of a factory .35 Whelen rifle.
That's kinda be splitting the difference and getting to use .357 pistol projectiles. The FA in .357, .357 Max. would all be candidates for that re-work.
Back me in a corner and shine a light on me I have to admit a good 7mm ctg. (7mm-08) could about do 95% of what I'd ever use it to do. But that's no fun.
