I got a catalog from Taylor's and I see a single action 22 LR both in 6 shot and 12 shot Cattleman's model made by Uberti. Any information from owners would be great. All the new 22s in single action are really pushing the market but I would think that a steel frame would be better if nothing other than looks and weight.

A steel frame SAA in 6-shot 22 would be a really heavy plinker

A few years ago a large local shop who has some connection with Uberti had a ton of their "demonstrator" guns for very low prices. All came in an unmarked box with just an end lable...most were unfired.
Picked up two Cattlemen with 4.75" barrels in .22 for $250 and .357 for $365. Neither had been fired. The .357 went to JRH for conversion to .41 Special that included a dovetail front sight. I had Jack include two more front sights one of which was added to the .22 by my local smith.
Both are very good shooters...

Went to Taylor's and looked at their 22 lr Uberti. They don't have the 12 shot model anymore. The 6 shot is a very nice gun and is very close to the Ruger single six. Both are very nice solid full size pistols.
