...aka Standard Mfg. happens to have three brand new USFA SAAs in .45 Colt with 4.75" barrels... www.gunbroker.com/item/1067592013....must have been leftovers from when they bought all the machinery...

I had no idea thats who made these. Isnt that over 1k more than they are available for elsewhere? Just looked and Buds has the 5.5 for $1750 and the 4 3/4 for $1880

Those are USFAs that he’s talking about. Not the standard manf. guns. Still steep for a Usfa but they aren’t making anymore. Looks like they have 4 of one, 3 of another and so on. I wouldn’t mind having one in 38 just for something different but not 3K worth of not minding 🤣

I've been eyeballing those and wondering HOW they got a hold of all those NIB USFA's?? I'm not certain that they bought machinery from USFA, in spite of rumors to that effect... seems like someone recently came across the USFA examples that are for sale, as I doubt they have been sitting around gathering dust...
Cynical thoughts have me wondering if Standard Manufacturing turned some USFA parts and frames into complete finished revolvers?? (please don't hammer me TOO hard if I am WAY out of line in my skepticism?)
I own a Standard Manufacturing SAA and have owned a USFA, and really, really WANT one of the examples that Standard is offering on that GB auction, but the cost is prohibitive at the moment... I just don't see how the heck someone got ahold of THAT many examples of brand new USFA revolvers??

After re-reading my earlier post, I realized how paranoid I sounded regarding Standard Manufacturing taking some USFA parts and adding their own in order to offer a New In Box USFA for sale... Something still doesn't seem right to me, that somebody would own 8 or 10 brand new USFA revolvers and sit on them for years, until suddenly... unleashing them into the market for sale? Please, somebody talk me down from my paranoia, ha!!

I was from Connecticut about 10 miles from both factories... Two of the smiths who worked for USFA belonged to the club I belong to and for sure the machinery and a couple of the employees went to SM...
More than likely the guns went along with the machinery. It was also several years before SM started making SAAs after USFA went out...

Those guns were CCH’d by standard manufacturing. Not Turnbull. They may be refinished Rodeos. Not that any of that matters. They look very nice!

They are selling these for a retirement of an employee who owned them. They are over priced but in excellent condition.

I don't think that they are TOO overpriced, if you search for NIB USFA, or Colt SAA revolvers... It is not in the cards for me, at the moment, but I really would love a NIB USFA revolver,
