Am not a Marine or into 41's. Do think that piece is a solid contender as a PPP. Hope it finds the right home.

I'm far from convinced that any 454 Case Based Cartridge is a good idea in the Midframe Ruger.
Mostly due to case length...

There are some configurations of the single action that folks manage to dream up, which simply make no sense to me. Short barreled drag racers are at the top of the list. This one on a midframe no less…
I’ve spent too much of this lifetime being without, to be anything less than practical.

Gary tends not to use or publicize heavy for caliber bullets
That alleviates the cylinder length issue a bit knowing that was made to be topped with a 210 grain JHP

FWIW, I imagine that one can load out to 1.690” or 1.700” with .020” room for crimp jump. I’m not a 41 cal guy, so I don’t even know what is needed.

Are we sure that isn’t a 50th anniversary 44 magnum flattop frame? Just a thought. I can’t tell by looking but others may can see a difference.

Is there a purpose or a plus to the chamfer on the exit of the cylinder throat? Seems like that translates into something similar to cylinder gap.
