Had flashbacks yesterday when going through old reloads. Saw ammo cases marked 6/25/6.5/7 TCU. Works out to 24/25/26/27. Looking at the notes I see "Full loads will NOT fit in this brass." Looked at the headstamps and see that they aren't 223. They are 556. Explains the lost capacity. Thinking I'll order a couple 100 new 223 cases and rebuild these brass sets. Old people need stuff to keep them busy....

I forgot about my 7mm TCU till you mentioned the cartridge. A SWAT team sniper gave me 500 once fired Federal cases probably 25 years ago or so and 200 of them became 7mm TCU. Water dropped cast bullets shot great out of the 14 inch barrel. Now you got me wanting to go through my old notes.

I've been wanting a 25 TCU for the longest time ever, it's hands down one of the top TC barrels I've been wanting/looking for and I can hardly ever find one. But also at the same time, I just don't want to have one built? Don't know why.
I have a 14" 7mm TCU and it's an awesome shooting cartridge.

I’ve have or have had 6mm/25/6.5 TCUs The 25 is just getting put together and now wears a simple Swarovski 3-9. I have a pile of primed 223 brass that I’ll expand and load until I run across dies or spring for a bushing die. This is what happens when you have a stash of 85 grain ballistic tips to burn through.

I've had many, many TCU barrels, both carbine & handgun length. Most all of them were Bullberry but the funny thing is, Fred never made a 25 TCU barrel. I had one Bellem barrel & one MGM barrel in 25 TCU, that last one ended up at Axehandles place. It was a ringer with the 85 gr Ballistic Tip! The best barrel for shooting cast was always the 7 TCU's, you could get some amazing accuracy out of those barrels with a little experimenting. Early on I had Fred at Bullberry make me quite a few carbine barrels with what I called a "Dog knot" on the end, that was, the last 4" were full diameter which made the barrels heavier & balanced better & also made the action open easier. Those barrels are scattered all over the country, he made me quite a few of them. I had 43 barrels at one time, and once traded a FA 454 for 5 new TC frames. I also still have one empty box left from when Wes Ugalde was selling formed brass for all of the TCU calibers, its the Green & White Ugalde boxes, I need to post a photo of it again.

Dick Not a TCU but I think a Bullberry barrel of yours in 7-30 Waters improved is headed my way soon…
