I am assuming that the FA 97 .45 Colt is capable of handling Ruger only loads but want to be sure. Most of my loading will be around 250 gr bullets under 1000 fps but I have some that I loaded a while back that are close to book max for Rugers that I was going to shoot in my .454 Casull but might try a few in the 97. Am I safe to do so?

Absolutely, 30k or under is just fine.
That being said, recoil is....interesting.

My hunting load in the 45 Colt model 97 is our Max charge of h110 under a 250 XTP. Never failed me. However, that load is stout and not as much fun. For relaxation I switch over to Longshot same bullet. For genuine pleasure I go to a cast bullet over Winchester 231. The gun will take the Ruger only loads just fine, but the shooter may not. By the way, those same loads in a Ruger are a walk in the park.
