Yep $350 for the cylinder and $90 shipping. Takes 4 to 5 months per their email.
I am still thinking hard. Waiting on the owner to see what we could work out

I love my BFR 500 JRH. So much fun to shoot. And yes, the Bisley grips really help manage big recoil, especially BuffBore stuff.
One heck of a caliber and revolver!

We are in suspense. Are you going to grab it? You know you need it! I'm with reflex264. We need to know. Seeing someone else get a nice revolver is the same kind of joy you get watching your family open their gifts at Christmas. We need to live vicariously through your purchase. Besides, if you decide not to buy it, surely someone on here will want it. Heck, I'm thinking I'd like to try out that grip myself. Everything else about the BFRs is certainly growing on me. . .

BFR is my next revolver purchase but I'm wondering what's better: bisley grips or the bfr banana grip?
Sorry I didn't see it posted above but what sort of grips did you have previously? Standard cowboy or the banana?

I like the Bisley on the BFR so much, I talked Ronnie Wells into offering it for a Ruger as a regular listing. But it does look strange. So I talked him into bringing the back strap up into a more traditional Bisley style that fixed that. He named it the Hager BB5. I'd like to get a BB5 in stainless for my BFR in 500L as soon as he starts offering those. Ok Lets clear this up right now. You didnt have to talk me into anything Wayne. That was just a great idea!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hahahahaha. I had often looked at that butt ugly thing and thought why would they call that a bisley. But as many have stated, it is an interpretation. I dont agree with it in any shape or form or fasion cuz i guess ive made a couple of grip frames. And all Bisley backstraps go up and over and hide the upper screws to the main frame. Period. But, and thats a big ole but, WHO CARES, THE DAM THING WORKS. Me and Brett P at Mag Research have had more than 1 laugh about this debate. Pulling the backstrap up and over in my opinion makes it a lot more in the Bisley familly to me. And it works even better. its ugly but it manages recoil very well. it gives a lot of knuckle room and for Gorrilla pawed guys like me and Wayne, that is a major plus. Anything in 44 mag and up on a BFR will benefit in a major fasion from there bisley interpretation. I Now have a brass Hager BB5 on a 475 Maximum Ruger and it will flat get down and boogie a hundred rounds at a time. No Knuckle yuk or palm fatigue. As far as the stainless version goes, one of these days. i am just slammed trying to pay for all of this new equipment and focus on what makes money right now. Its coming i have just been busy clearing my table. Try that BFR. You will not only like it. you will dig it. You sure aint gonna hurt that Mammy. Not unless you start stuffing C4 in the cases. im not sure but it might even take it. Its a beast of a six gun. R

I am going to pass on the BFR for now. I had to pay for the Sig Legion and just sent a check to John Powers so I need to hold off for a little bit.
