I had 2 contender barrels that I decided to have shortened. After a call to SSK I sent them both in with a note as to what length I wanted each barrel. A very short 12 days later, I just opened the box with both barrels completed as instructed. They are great!
For those interested.
Barrel #1 was an older T/C built14” 41 magnum with sights. It is now a 9” with no sights. I have a mount waiting for it now.
Barrel #2 came from the SSK shop a 16” carbine 350 legend with scope mount no sights and a threaded barrel with brake. Now it is 12” with no threads. The brake is not needed.
