I pulled this out for the first time in fifteen years, I killed a beaver with it back in "the day". The scope sits as far back as is mechanically possible with this scope and these rings. I have to "climb up" the stock with my cheek to get a full ocular view and I can't stand that. I do not want to change the Simmons. I'm looking for a product that will allow a further back mount, kind of like an AR15 cantilever mount. Yes I know the internet is available but it's not as fast and reliable as this group. Any thoughts would be appreciated, thank you.

Weaver and I believe EGW make a picatinny base that will slide on to the dovetail groove and then get screwed tight to the rifle, I also like to locktite it. The. Use and place whatever rings you want. The biggest issue will be bolt handle clearance and loading port clearance. Or you could simply cut the stock shorter Trapr

My suggestion would be to look for another scope with a longer front tube. The objective bell is limiting the rearward placement of the scope. A steel tube Weaver 4x or variable has a longer tube between the objective bell and the turrets.

Or, a scope with more eye relief, if the eye relief on that one is short.

These are RWS airgun mounts. The front one could be reversed.

Looking at the picture of the scope & they way it's mounted,, I had an idea.
It appears that the rear base area is long enough to where you can remove the front base, slip the rings & scope back to just the rear base area. You can shift the scope to where you won't have to ride forward to get it to align & focus. No cost to try it.
