A Remington 700 barrel in 22-250 that has a faster twist, something like 1-8 or 1-7. Second option would be a good smith that could rechamber an existing 223 barrel already 1-8, to 22-250. Anybody out there got info for me???

Check out northland shooter supply for their remage barrel. Those criterion barrels are top notch!

Thanks Millard, I just don’t want to modify my stock to accept the Savage barrel nut, it may eventually be the way I go but I’d like to see my other options first.

Isaac Gallagher (John's son) for rechambering. Just had something done with him and I'm all smiley.

If anybody has access to facebook, look at his rifle builds.

Isaac builds a great rifle and does fantastic repair and or remedial work. Sent my dad's 1962 Model 700 to him and it shoots like a whole different gun.

Just got off the phone with Isaac and we reminisced about the 500Max I had gotten from him and his dad. He is backed up with rifle work but I’ll check back with him after first of the year and probably send him what I have. We were in agreement that we’d both rather have a fast twist 22-250 than the newer 22 Creedmoor, I had to ask if he had any Thad Rybka Holsters laying around and was disappointed to hear a negative on that.

"Kid" does GOOD work. I got with him about a bedding job which he convinced me should be a square face, set back, rechamber, bed on one of those limited 700 308's from way back that are black and tan. The test target he sent me was three in a dime with GM168.
