I was looking at a sig cross.
   It is a very modern bolt rifle. But to many things to adjust for my taste. And spendy too.
   But bit got me thinking, one of the Ruger scout rifles with a folding stock and a 20 inch barrel in .308 would be cool. Folks either love or hate the Ruger scouts. I like them, but would want a 20 inch tube on a

I have not shot it yet, but have a Ruger Scout rifle. It is a stainless 18.7" 308 Winchester. I think it is a handy little rifle. I had one of the Gunsite Scouts prior that I gifted to someone. I never got around to firing it either. But, I handled it enough that I wanted another. It took awhile to stumble into this lightly used one. Seemed as though the 16"ish barrel lengths were the most frequently encountered.

The make more versions with the 16 ish barrel.
To short for me. I might go for the 18.7 but I think 20 inch is great for the .308...tj
