This little carbine is what originally piqued my interest in the Rook Rifles.
The 300 Rook and 327 Federal are about as close dimensionality as they can get.
Early on, I'd shot this rifle with factory ammo and loads that duplicated it. Performance was great as expected.
Then, I'd switched to 140 grn Cast Rifle Bullets and 2400. Again, performance was far beyond my expectations. But, noise was still more than I wanted.
So, today I decided to develop some reduced noise Cast Bullet Loads.
Powders tried included Titegroup, 244, Unique, Power Pistol and Longshot. Bullets were Hunter's Supply 111 grn HP. I actually weighed these at 112.5 grn on average. These have the HS Slick Coat and no leading was ever experienced.
Accuracy was simply phenomenal with all loads tried.
Power Pistol was the velocity champ at 1525 fps with 6.5 grns. Longshot wasn't quite as fast at 1450 fps, but groups were virtually one hole and noise was noticeably less than Power Pistol.
The original 300 Rook shot an 80 grn Lead Bullet @ 1100 fps for 215 fpe.
This version shoots a 112 grn Lead Bullet @ 1450 fps for 520 fpe.
Of course, much more velocity can be obtained with Magnum Powders. But, they come with much more noise.
This will be of limited interest. But, figured I'd post it anyways...

Thanks Jeff...
Decided to up the Longshot Load 1/2 grn to 6.5 grn. These bullets were seated a tad long to allow taper crimping which I prefer in these guns.
Velocity increased to 1550 fps with 600 fpe.
The gun is a MGM Tapered 22" Barrel on a Type III Contender Frame. Optic is a Nikon 2-7x...
It has repeatedly shown a preference for heavier bullets.
Recoil is nearly none existing...

Dang, I was hoping you were selling!
I have a BF Falling Block in .32 H&R. I gave up hopes of getting a leverguns and then, inspired by an article years ago, I went with a single shot. My early loads were centered on a healthy dose of H110 driving a 115 bullet at 2000 fps. I also had a lot of fun launching a 150 FN at moderate velocities. I need to circle back and start loading reduced loads again.

That BF 32 Magnum should be ideal for small game!!!
Most have difficulty believing the performance these little cartridges are capable of.
The coated bullets make them even better...

I've never been able to get the thought of a 32 Long Carbine out of my head.
Ditto on the 38 Special and 10mm.
For performance per grain of powder, nothing bests the 30 Reece.

The 20" steel version sure is tempting but my recent spending is interfering with my ability to add to the cart!

O, your gonna do it! Stir me up again.
I know, right?
I wanted and NEEDED to simplify and had a hard choice to make, which took several years.
Eventually, I settled on the 357 Mag. It makes a passable 32, but the real 32s are just too damned cool. Gets me going every time someone posts about one.

Just going by what I hear. I have no technology to measure sound. But, you can definitely tell a difference...
