Just a once over with a good screw driver and some gun oil

Didn't have him slick it up? For some reason that seems very unlike you. At least as much as I know you from here.

A 40 year old SBH doesn't need much slicking up.... This gun had been in Alan's hands earlier when it belong to Flatlander for stuff like trigger and throats... Didn't see the need to do more than cosmetics... The grip frame to cylinder frame fit on this gun was terrible. Had Alan fit it up properly, cut barrel to 5.5, custom front sight, Bowen rear, steel EJR housing, fit a set of Fishpaw Dall Sheep horn grips, and polish and blue.

That looks great. How long is Alan's backlog running nowadays?

I think it depends on what you want done... Don't think anything is an overnight job anymore

Crap, was thinking about him for the 44Special project, I traded off a pre-64 Model 70 somebody or the other worked over years before I was boen (it wasn't any of the big names) to the loca lpusher yesterday, got a Pedersolli Sharps Heavy target 45-110 (had to be ordered) and a 357 New model Vaquero 5.5" fake CCH and blued (good and beat up, it came in while I was standing there and I told him to buy it so he didn't end up owing me cash) so my project is semi underway.
