Let's say I had a stainless revolver that I wanted to blue. Is that possible? I'm guessing, 'no', but thought I'd ask this group for confirmation. Thanks.

Blued no, but go down on this link to the blue Anaconda, might be an option bowenclassicarms.com/workshop.htmlalso I know BFR offers a "blued" finish option for their stainless guns...

Google "blackening stainless steel". There are various chemical solutions available but I don't know if the results look like blued steel. You may want to talk to one of the big refinishing businesses.

There was one salt base that would blue stainless. Not quite as much shine but close. I’m not sure if the epa got ahold of that one or not.
It came out like a soft black/blue with a light shine.
I can not recall the name to save me right now. I spent a lot of time running that stuff when I apprenticed.
