Showing them in comparison is the only way to get your point across……..

I mixed some 475s and some 500s together in one ammo box a few weeks ago. That’s when I really noticed how BIG the 500 Linebaugh was. And the 475 isn’t a slouch in its own right! I like em both!

To show my son-in-law the real difference, I dropped one of his precious "all powerful" 10mm rounds into a 500L brass. Then set one of his "great defensive" 9mm cartridges beside a cast 525gr bullet.
All he could say was," Can I shoot it?"

Nice.
Heck, I wish I had one in my cartridge collection, I have a 500 Smith, but that doesn't have the same appeal for some reason.

I agree, there’s just something about dropping those big heavy rounds in a revolver cylinder. Sitting around talking with John one evening, I commented on his beautiful guns in the Cody Museum, we had just been to that day, he shook his head, and with a somber look stated, it’s a shame to never get used. Those guns were meant to be shot! His retirement plan was to only build guns for people that use them, and not have to make trophy wall hangers.
