I have been trying to get my iconic gun article magazine library together. Some magazines I have but couldn't readily find so I have been hunting them down and re-buying them. While in this process I ran into one of the great ones. April 1936. Doug Wesson's hunt with the .357 Registered Magnum. I read it before but had to read it again. It is actually pretty good.

Oh wow! I love old magazines. Doesn't it kinda make you wish you could still buy some of the advertised firearms for the price listed? Oh what a collection I would have!

That's great. I'd love to read the article of Doug Wesson's hunt if you could post pictures. I've never read it, but have always wanted to.
I don't have anything that old. I have a good stack of GunDigests from the 70s and 80s though. I collect any old gun books and magazines, as well as old fishing magazines too.

LeverGunner, They have reprinted “Burning Powder”, if I remember correctly, Major Wesson’s handgun exploits are to be found there. I think you can find the reprint on Amazon. Steve

I have a dozen 80's and 90's Handloader magazines, they're handy to have around. I got my .45 Colt Red Dot powder load from one issue and I'm sorry I didn't buy more before they became collectible.
