Well: Looks as if all the comments I get over the years about overbuilding, I get the last laugh. Most of the damage in the PSL Fort Pierce area seems to be tornados or trees down. I guess the word was 35 mile winds so lot of remaining in place. My next door neighbor lost a shed a part of a roof but no one was hurt, thank god. I hope to get down there in the next week or two. Have a nice day Don K

They say landfall was by Siesta Key down by Sarasota. We got 102 mph winds. I only lost a small downspout extension, which I found and replaced. Neighbor 6 doors down lost 6' or so of roof on both sides of his house, others lost dozens of roof tiles, trees fallen on houses, etc. Between 1 am - 2 am I thought for sure we'd lose some ornamental palms and maybe a few windows and roof tiles. God watched over us is all I can say. My poor wife was freaked out the entire time. We kept moving from room to room depending on where the strongest winds were concentrating.
Power was out nearly 3 days, which means internet as well, even cell service was awful and sporadic at best. We had water. Colleagues still have no water or power. Gas stations trying to get back up, grocery stores, too, but no ice deliveries. Our coolers and freezer were packed with ice. Just when I was concerned about needing to go search for more ice, the power came back on.
I still haven't heard from a couple friends. Hoping it's just lack of power and internet. Anna Maria Island was trashed badly. The Rod and Reel Pier and Restaurant are gone.
Praying for all those suffering here in FL and our northern neighbors.
My neighbor that lost his roof had just suffered extreme flood damage 2 weeks earlier on his property/home in Pinellas County. Double whammy. His nice boat came through without a scratch. Go figure.

My neighbor across the street had SOMETHING blow thru at 2am which took the wood trussed roof off of his 20 x 30 shop where all of the blow worthy stuff was kept and flipped it fifty feet away. There was still a flannel shirt hanging on a beach chair in there the next day.

Well: Have gotten a lot of pics after the storm lots of damage, One video taken during the height of the storm from my neighbors eve mounted camera shows his driveway, the rear of his one owner 56 Chevy. Also shows my front yard and the intersection. Mine is a corner lot, a blur goes by slams into a palm tree wraps around then you see it's a 1 x 12 foot piece of aluminum. a lot more blurs go by, some large some small, But you cannot tell what they are they going so fast. Have a nice day Don K.
