I would appreciate any real life input on the Holosun 507C versus the Trijicon RMR sight systems. I know the Holosun dot is a 2 versus the 3.25 in the rmr but any other benefits to one over the other?
Thank you,
Robb

Robb, I have both and am a trijicon fan, have been since my Law Enforcement days. I own more Holosuns now, they (for me) work every bit as good as the RMR's and SRO's but cost a fair bit less. Fit, function, durability and dependability have been superb. Trijicons customer service is hit or miss, never had to contact Holosun so I don't know about theirs.

There's a running joke among my friends that when the Chinese invade they'll send a signal to all Holosuns to shut off or send a homing signal or explode or beep until the battery is dead.
I'd look at Leica or Leupold also. One of my Trijicons has a battery terminal issue and flickers sometimes. I'm probably done buying Trijicons, but the SRO looks nicer than the RMR.

I like the SROs I just bought. Don’t own any others so really can’t comment too much.

Holosun shake awake every time. What red dots are NOT made in Chiner?

Meprolight's are supposed to be made in Israel. (I have a couple, not happy with them. Work fine, eat batteries. Can't speak about the new ones, don't know)
Shield Optics are supposed to be made in the UK. (I have two, happy with them)
Trijicons are supposed to be made in the US. (only have one, I like it)
I have a Steiner MRS that some sources claim is made in Germany. Dunno for sure, have my doubts. (never used it much, jury's still out)
Aimpoint ACRO's should be made in Sweden.

good call on the green over the red, studies (Not mine except having both side by side) have shown it is seen longer in the light spectrum and blooms less than red based on the way the diode makes the green (also more expensive). astigmatism problems normally react less to green than red for blooming. let us know what you think after you get it shooting.

Thank you, Robb Robb, I had a Burris Fast Fire on my Harton 480, but switched over to the Holosun 507c with the green vulcan reticle. I like it much, much better. I need to pull that Fast Fire off of the Harton 414, snag a different mount from FA and put a 507c on that one. It just seems to center to the eye better than the Fast Fire. I think it's due to the green 32MOA circle as your eye naturally finds center. Greg

Put a dot of silicone on the back of your battery and let it dry. It will help keep the contacts right usually and stop that flickering. GS

Shot the short Gallagher 45 today with the Holosun with green chevron. Much easier for me to see than red dot. We will see if it helps us send one of Sixshots pc pills through a deer and elk this season.
