I have been hesitant to jump into the suppressor game because of the long lead times to get the ATF tax stamp approval. A couple of years ago my brother got one and it took 11 months. On Friday if filed an application with the new electronic system that the ATF has adopted and yesterday (Monday) I got the approval notification and went and picked up my suppressor!

With my legal name being John Johnson I was pleasantly surprised my two took just three months. My first one five years ago took nine months. I've got one in the cue with the process started Friday, we'll see. Good for you sir.

Mine was six months on the first, about 4 on the second. Now it's 4-6 weeks.

Most I’ve sent in for people lately are back in days. Trust are still taking longer for us though.

My last form 4, sent in on 8/17/24 and approved on 9/10/24, was submitted as a trust.

Most I’ve sent in for people lately are back in days. Trust are still taking longer for us though. how much longer on trusts (avg turnaround time). thanks, paul |

There’s no rhyme or reason to it honestly. Most guys are doing individual right now because it’s back in a day. But the trust I’ve seen go two weeks or three months lately.

I always do the trust routine. My heart isn't that good, so I try to keep inheritance in mind.
