There's a Dave Clements 4" Redhawk 6-shot 357 Magnum over on GB as of the time of this post. I bring it up partly because I've seen the listing lapse a few times so its price would probably the starting bid for someone who wanted it, but it also comes with an additional cylinder if someone wanted a convertable project. A 356GNR would be just about right for that second one. What would you do with it?

My vote was “Something Else”, I would probably send that cylinder off to be chambered for the 360 DW. Steve

360 Dan Wesson. I assume there is enough room in the window to fit a 360 Cylinder. Rw would probably know. ...tj

Thinking OP meant to use the extra cylinder that comes with the gun.

I HAD A 357 REDHAWK THAT HAD BEEN PUNCHED OUT TO 360 DW. PER THE GUY I GOT IT FROM IT WORKED GREAT BUT YOU HAD TRIM THE BRASS A wee bit IF YOU WANTED TO SEAT THE DUAL CANNELURED 180gr XTP LONG, i.e. ON THE BOTTOM CANNELURE. THAT GUN IS NOW ON A JRH BENCH WAITING TO BE CONVERTED TO 45 COLT (TRAPR OWNS THE GUN).

356GNR here. What is there not to like? Off the shelf dies, published loading data, 41 Mag brass... People like the current 8 shot RH but... This 6 shot Clements 357 is the cats meow without the extra cylinder. www.gunbroker.com/item/1067494241Embedded in this page: www.reedercustomguns.com/information/gnr_cartridges.htmYou will read: "This one is our 356 GNR and is a 41 Magnum case necked down to 357. (note standard 357 for comparison) It is intended for revolvers but works well in Contenders also. It will put a 125 gr. bullet out at 2200 fps. Best when rechambered from 357 Mag Blackhawks, Redhawks, or S&W Model 27 or 28. Also available in our SKORPION revolver."
