Boster, I had to dig back but found some old pictures. The area just behind the trigger guard extends down slightly more on the BFR vs a SBH. I took some measurements and drew a rough sketch, I hope the old picture is clear enough. The inside of the Hogue Monogrip has a hard plastic insert molded to fit the grip frame snug. So I took a dremel and relieved the inside to allow for the different measurement on the BFR grip frame. I don't have pics of the inside of the Monogrip, but I can take them off and try for a close up picture if you want it. The 475 is on the bottom, the BFR on top with the Micarta grips was a 50AE, but later found new life as a 500JRH.

I got it done last night. I re-centered the reticle and the shim is held in place with holes covering the two rear screws so zero movement possible. While I had it apart I cut a radius on the rear of the base to give the power adjustment ring more breathing room. I will load some ammo tomorrow and get it sighted in. Can't wait to get this one in the woods.

I ran into the same issues recently, I've been testing the Vortex Scout Scopes on handguns, trying to find a more common and cheaper alternative to buying some of the pistol scopes that are out there now. ( Because I just have so many that I want to run optics on )
Pretty much everything from contenders to revolvers, I've been running into just everything shooting low and running out of vertical adjustment. The scopes also are working great, but you can certainly tell they're no pistol scope when you put them side by side with a real one like Burris, B Leupold, Bushnell or Weaver.
