I have a friend with a little lighter version mold of that bullet. He shot it in one of the John Ross revolvers and he says it RECOILS a lotttt.

You have a really good idea of what’s coming then. I’ve shot all the loads in the long barrel X-frame. The Ross is quite a bit lighter.

I bought the 440gr hp mold from him. It's all I can use in the 500JRH and probably more than I will need. Critters aren't that thick in NC and I'm not a fast healer anymore. The Bushwhacker taught me about that with 592grs.

With most loads in a lighter 500, you have to be recoil proof to shoot much. They get your attention very quickly.

Very, very cool, but my old wrists hurt just looking at them! I bought the .502” 325g NOE mold from Jim, for use in a couple of midframe flattops in 500 S&W Spl. Jim’s a really great guy, and takes care of his customers. I hope you have a lot of fun with those behemoths!

Masochism is the word that comes to mind.

Masochism looks a lot like machoism.

Beautiful work!
Not easy to cast HPs, really long bullets, really BIG bullets. Amazing work, Sir.
That's a beautiful mould too!
Got my own first brass HP mould last week and am in love now.

Oh, I would love to shoot a Hog with one of those I saw the talk about the John Ross revolvers when they were being preordered, but I already had the 4" so I didn't read further to see the details about the 1:10 twist for stabilizing the huge 700gn bullets. Oh well, I should have saved my BitCoin also Bought it for $.01 each before it's public offering. I thought it was going to be another PayPal... OOPS
