Recent post of the Standad Single Action copy left me wondering: How many copies of the Colt Single Action Army have been made that were American made?
As I recall the Great Western Arms Single Actions were the first around 1955 or 1956. Then the American WEstern Arms, though parts were Italian made, but guns were assembled and fitted here in the US. Now Standard Arms is in production. Ruger is not in the scene as it is not, and never was, intended to be a copy of the Colt.
The Great Western revolvers have sort of picked up a following of collectors n their own right. Sack Peterson, of stag brip fame, is probablyone of the most ardent enthusiaists of thoese guns.
So, what have y'all?

I have a Standard and one USFA, both great guns. Alan Harton made the one piece grips for the USFA. USFA Standard

Wow, those are both great looking guns. That USFA shoots as good as it looks with that bullet/load combo. True Blue is one of my favorite powders for the 45 Colt.

Personally rank the domestic USFA over the Standard Mfg, then Colt. Should probably be arrested for what I paid for this Nettleton. 12/22. Rodeo II .38Spl. This is the only pic of my early USPFA .45Colt in full dome blue. It has the best trigger of any sixgun I own.

One day you’re gonna sit that Nettleton down and I’ll be close enough to run away with it 🤣

One day you’re gonna sit that Nettleton down and I’ll be close enough to run away with it 🤣 Probably take me a year to figure out it was gone. I just lost a 1911 for six months, only to find out it was in the drawer 2ft behind where I'm sitting right now.
